When you are buying a hand-crafted piece, it can be passed down the generations, once cared for appropriately. Well-made millinery can often be reworked to modernize the piece or match a new outfit. This is in direct contrast to poor quality, mass-produced pieces. Some well crafted pieces will forever be in fashion, others 'vintage'.
